Sun 2 Power are proud to have been asked to provide the renewable energy solution via SolarPanels on George Clarke’s new holiday home in Coniston Water in the Lake District National Park. Being in such a sensitive location it was of course essential that the right external design and construction mirrored the sensitivity of the location.
The holiday home was first built in a workshop on a movable chassis using structural insulated panels (SIP’s) which were pre-insulated providing a super sustainable structure. To complement its green credentials, it was an obvious addition to fit solar panels to the standing seam roof.
We fitted the solar panels (9 in total) while the unit was being constructed in Bedford.
Thankfully the quality panels provided survived the road trip to the Lake District. We commissioned the system in the Lake District and connected up the 9.5kwh hour battery on site, and accordingly handed it over to George Clarke.

We think the Solar Panels and the battery system will provide an outstanding renewable energy for many years, and equally blend into the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.
